Striker Nano and left back David Junca have both been pinpointed as candidates whop could be leaving SD Eibar in the coming days.
Neither player has featured much in pre season and are not in manager Jose Luis Mendilibar’s plans for the coming season with Tenerife keen on bringing Nano back and Girona showing interest in Junca.
Nano did not train with his teammates yesterday, instead training on his own in the morning. He arrived from Tenerife for 3 million euros last year and was seen as a prospect of hope but instead seems to have been a disappointment and has set a deadline of the 17th to see where he will be playing next season, according to Radio Marca Tenerife.
There have been doubts over the player within the club and he did not feature in last week’s friendlies versus Gijon and Oviedo due to a muscle problem. He is trying to win his place at Eibar but if he fails then Tenerife looks like his likely destination.
Throughout his holidays, the striker said that his intention was to leave Ipurua and return to the Heliodoro Rodriguez according to the Canarian press but Eibar will have the last word. However, there are many questions. Tenerife are not keen on the fact that Eibar paid an amount of money that attracts attention and mopre seeing its usual policy of austerity in these situations. Also, the fact that he’s had constant injuries and also his poor performance deepens the little trust Tenerife have.
Anopther player who could be leaving Eibar to join his old club is David Junca. Old club Girona have shown an interest in the left back who has struggled to start in front of Jose Angel. As well as this Eibar are not wanting to have too many players in defence with Capa, Arbilla and Calavera there, giving the green light for Junca’s exit.
He is a player who hasn’t featured often and Mendilibar has hardly counted on him with injuries also playing a part.
