Burnley have made a £11.8m bid for Deportivo La Coruna striker Florin Andone, according to Sky Sports News.
After selling Andre Gray to Premier League rivals Watford, Sean Dyche’s side have been desperate to add some fire power to their attack and build on their impressive 3-2 opening league win over champions Chelsea.
The Romanian striker scored 12 goals in 37 games last season for Galician side Depor and has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Watford, Fiorentina, Espanyol and Sporting Lisbon.
Having reportedly made a bid for Leeds United striker Chris Wood and seen it rejected, Dyche has now turned to the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, in Spain, Deportivo have been busy trying to tempt Arsenal into allowing Lucas Perez to leave for a smaller fee.
Having left the Galician side for Arsenal last summer, Perez found playing time hard to come by under Arsene Wenger, despite the Frenchman’s admiration of his ability and season prior to the move, where he scored an impressive 17 goals in 37 games.
Just 11 appearances in the Premier League have seen he Spaniard looking to leave, and with the arrival of French striker Alexandre Lacazette from Olympique Lyonnais at the Emirates, Perez has talked of his poor treatment.
Speaking with La Voz de Galicia two weeks ago, Perez discussed his time at the North London club and his frustrations – which included having the number nine shirt taken from him and given to Lacazette.
