English Premier League side Burnley have made a bid for Deportivo La Coruna star man Florin Andone.
The Clarets have saw two bids knocked back for first choice target Chris Wood from Leeds United so they are now looking elsewhere.
It is highly unlikely that Pepe Mel will accept this offer for his leading goal scorer not least because they welcome Real Madrid to Estadio Riazor on Sunday evening.
However Andone is the only recognised striker in the La Coruna squad the former Cordoba forward scored 12 goals in 37 matches for the Herculino’s last season. He would be a very good signing for Burnley and with the modern day transfer market being so expensive 11 million seems like a very good deal.
Andone would fit very well into the Premier League as he has the attributes especially in a physical sense as he is very strong and for a striker in England we know this is exactly what you must be.
However the deal could go through if Deportivo win in their pursuit to bring Lucas Perez back to the club from Arsenal that deal is expected to go through early next week.
Club president Tino Fernandez has stated that Andone will only leave the club if his release clause is met this is said to be around the 30 million euros mark so this alone could end Burnley’s pursuit of the player.
The player has also been quick to react as he has said he wishes to stay in Spain and battle for a European place with the club in what is expected to be a good season for the Blue and Whites. But with Burnley desperate for a new forward following the sale of Andre Gray the deal will need to be done fast .
It is also reported by various sources despite being the only fit striker at the club that he may miss the game on Sunday due to being unsettled with the events this week.
