Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias has said the club will be making more transfer over the next few days.
Arias replaced Monchi at the helm of the Andalusian club earlier this year and he has played an integral part in no less than seven new signings.
Luis Muriel, Simon Kjaer, Nolito, Sebastien Corchia and Guido Pizarro are new faces, whilst Jesus Navas and Ever Banega have both returned to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Having qualified for the group stages of the Champions League, Arias is keen to progress past that stage this season and he openly discussed his side’s chances on the club’s officials website.
“Whatever group you draw in the Champions League it’s always going to be strong,” Arias said.
“But between the teams who were in the pots this will be a tough group but one with possibilities for us.
“The important thing is that we are able to find our level as the club is growing and we are taking steps to cement ourselves in this competition.
“Now we have to keep growing and compete as a Champions League team, we are getting there bit by bit.”
Linked with new arrivals, including former loanee Stevan Jovetic, Arias remained hopeful that new signings would arrive, claiming that two new deals were close to completion.
“More transfers? A bit still needs to be done to complete the contracts, but the work is almost done.”
