Valencia’s exit door opens as Orellana agrees Leganes moveAugust 31, 2017
Fabian Orellana is set to join Leganes on a one-year loan deal from Valencia, according to reports in Spain.
Valencia owner Peter Lim has been adamant this summer that a number high earners at the club must leave and Orellana has featured on a list alongside the likes of Diego Alves, Enzo Perez, Alvaro Negredo, Matthew Ryan, Aymen Abdennour and Joao Cancelo – who have all been sold.
Others are expected to leave in the coming days and according to Onda Cero – there is now an agreement between both clubs for a loan move, which Leganes will pay the entirety of the winger’s wages.
The 31-year-old joined Los Che from Celta Vigo in January but new coach Marcelino has been keen to move him on, prompting interest from the likes of Getafe and Leganes.
Another player also set for an exit at the Mestalla is Portuguese winger Nani, who jetted into Rome last night to discuss a move to Italian side Lazio.
Question marks had rose about his future after Lim wanted him to stay at the club, but Marcelino had other ideas and it seems now that the coach has got his wish with the former Manchester United man set for an initial loan move.
