Eibar right back Ander Capa has signed a deal at Basque rivals Athletic Club which will see him move to the San Mames on July1st 2018.
The two clubs agreed on a deal worth 3 million euros with Capa signing on a 4 year contract with a buy-out clause of 50 million euros.
Capa joined the club in 2011 playing for the B side for the first season. To date he has played 165 games for the first team, 113 of them in La Liga.
However there is also news of a potential incoming at the Ipurua with the proposed signing of ex Granada central defender David Lomban nearing completion according to reports from MARCA and others in Spain.
The club have been linked with several defenders in the past few days including ex player Raul Albentosa however we can reveal that he will not be joining.
Damien Da Silva of Caen and Jorge Sáenz from Tenerifé were also mentioned as possible targets however neither of those deals looks likely with news on Da Silva non existent and Sáenz deciding to reject the offer presented to him by Fran Garaagarza.
Asturian defender Lomban was the last of the options and it sees almost definite that he will join as he is currently undergoing his medical with the move expected to be made official later this afternoon.
Lomban will arrive for free on an initial one year deal with the option of a second year. He will provide defensive reinforcements for Eibar and is expected to be the last signing the Basques will make before tonight’s deadline.
In another twist at the club, Nano Mesa’s move to Tenerifé has been called off with the midfielder now close to moving to La Liga new boys Levante instead.
