Barcelona are pushing Arda Turan to join Galatasaray this week as his chances of playing this season remain limited.
The Turkish international is in a long list of midfield options under Ernesto Valverde as Barca which includes Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic, Andre Gomes, Rafinha, Denis Suarez, Sergi Roberto and new signings Paulinho.
Valverde has been keen to sell some of the aforementioned – but having failed to do so, he must now find time to accommodate them all.
However, it is certain and confirmed that former La Liga winner with Atletico Madrid – Arda, will not be given the chance to play, prompting the Catalan club to offer his services to various clubs.
Links with Premier League side Manchester United were rife before the English transfer window closed, but it is now Turkish side Galatasaray, who have been given the chance to make a move.
The Turkish transfer window does not close until Friday at 10pm GMT and Barca believe that both parties want to reunite.
Mundo Deportivo claim that a deal is currently being discussed and could be announced in the coming days, with the midfielder set for an initial loan period.
Having moved to Barcelona two years ago, Arda has featured 53 times for Barca.
