David De Gea and Sergio Ramos have been openly discussing the former making a move to Real Madrid, La Liga News UK understands.
Interest in the Spanish international from Madrid has been rife since Iker Casillas called time on his illustrious career at the Santiago Bernabeu and whilst Keylor Navas has been a worthy deputy – it is understood that Madrid bosses want De Gea to be their long term option.
Premier League club United have been fairly silent in their resolve of keeping the former Atletico Madrid man, with reports claiming they would look to potentially swap a player and cash.
Whilst, the reports come from English media over renewed interest, several Spanish sources still believe that the 26-year-old will eventually move back to Madrid and join Los Blancos.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is also keen to bring in De Gea and it seems Sergio Ramos is too after we understand the two players have been heavily discussing ways for him to move to the Santiago Bernabeu next summer.
Both have been on international duty with the Spanish national side and have spent time together off the field to discuss the possibility of playing alongside each other next season.
For Spain, a 3-0 win against Italy and a 8-0 win over Liechtenstein have seen the national side in pole position to qualify for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.
