Barcelona weekend tie with Las Palmas will go ahead on Sunday afternoon, despite reports it would be cancelled due to the Catalan referendum.
The region of Catalonia is holding a referendum this weekend on independence from Spain in a decision which has seen hundreds of police drafted in from Madrid and other main cities.
The referendum which is due on Sunday is reported to be heavily monitored by Mossos d’Esquadra, the police of Catalonia, meaning Barca’s clash with Las Palmas would have inadequate policing.
However, Mundo Deportivo have confirmed that the game will not be rescheduled.
