Tottenham Hotspur fans are right to ignore claims that Harry Kane is on his way to Real Madrid next summer.
Waking up this morning in their North London homes, Spurs fans will have read somewhere on the internet that Kane has become the number target for Madrid after another superb run of form.
The England international has scored 11 goals in nine games this season for the Premier League side, prompting such reports which have hit the back papers of The Guardian, the Independent and other English media outlets.
However, the source Don Balon and Eduardo Inda of “El Chiringuito” are unreliable to say the least, reporting that Karim Benzema has been told he will be sold, just two weeks after signing a new and improved contract extension.
Madrid have been interested in Kane previously, whilst interest in Kylian Mbappe this summer also hit the headlines.
Neither of those interests came to light with the Spanish champions sticking with their current options and blooding a number of high profiled youngsters through to the starting eleven, such as Marco Asensio.
Whilst it is expected that Florentino Perez will make a ‘big’ signing next summer, a said £177m move for Kane is unlikely, having spent big on contracts for Benzema and an upcoming one for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rest easy then Spurs fans, Kane remains, for now…..
