Regular observers of FC Barcelona will be fully aware of the fact that Luis Suarez has not quite been himself at the start of this season. After suffering a knee injury in the Spanish Super Cup in August, Suarez is still feeling the consequences.
The injury concern could see Suarez go under the knife in order to cure the issue with his right knee which has seen him struggle for form early on this campaign.
Currently away with Uruguay on international duty, Suarez is on a restricted training programme whilst away from Barcelona.
He is likely to undergo further tests upon his return to Spain, but medical experts with Uruguay have recommended that he should consider an operation to fix the issue.
Such surgery would see him miss three weeks of action, which would come as a huge blow to Ernesto Valverde who is already without Ousmane Dembele and is not keen on Paco Alcacer or the inconsistent Gerard Deulofeu.
With a top of the table clash with Atletico Madrid after the international break, Suarez may hope to feature there before facing a lay-off when he would likely be hoping to be back before mid-November, when Barcelona face tough ties against the likes of Valencia and Juventus.
