Barcelona are planning to sell Arda Turan, Thomas Vermaelen and Paco Alcacer in January to fund their pursuit of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
Turan, Vermaelen and Alcacer have found themselves surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou since the arrivals of Paulinho, Gerard Deulofeu and last summers defensive arrival – Samuel Umtiti.
Turkish midfielder Arda has not featured this season for the Catalan club and has been linked previously with Premier League side Arsenal and former club, Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Having paid around £35m for the former Atletico Madrid man, Barca are willing to forego some of that figure and allow him to leave in a cut-price this winter.
Former Arsenal defender Vermaelen, who spent last season on loan with Serie A side Roma – is also up for sale, having not played this season.
Alcacer, who has featured, is keen to look for first team football elsewhere and Barca are willing to allow him to leave the club.
Should all three leave, Barca are hoping to use that cash as they continue their pursuit for Coutinho, who they made several unsuccessful bids to Liverpool for this summer just gone.
Coutinho is said to be keen on a move to the Catalan capital and he is seen as the long term replacement to club captain Andres Iniesta.
