Dani Carvajal is expected to return to Real Madid’s starting line up in the near future. It is expected the right back will train with the first team yet again next week. This information comes from Spanish radio station COPE.
It goes without saying that the Spaniard will require a substantial amount of training before returning to action. With an injury as this, extra precautionary measures are often taken to ensure the safety of the player.
It was also suggested Carvajal would return in “a matter of days” two weeks ago by Zinedine Zidane himself. Realistically, Los Blancos would be going well to see Carvajal in action before December.
Pericarditis is essentially a normal virus. The issue with this is that the virus is located around the sac of the heart. I have personally been affected by this and was not hindered from playing sport shortly afterwards. I was not playing Champions League football however, which is why extra precautions are being taken with La Fabrica graduate.
In Carvajal’s place, Achraf and Nacho have been adequate replacements. The Moroccan international performed admirably against Tottenham in his Champions League debut this week. Dani Carvajal’s absence has not been as detrimental as some anticipated but would still be a welcomed improvement on the impressive Achraf.
