Good Morning and welcome to our daily round up of the morning Spanish Papers, where Marca have backed Real Madrid in their claim that Girona’s match winning goal was offside.

Goals from Cristhian Stuani and Portu were enough to seal an historic victory for the Catalan side, coming from 1-0 down to end Madrid run of away wins, stemming back to February.

Portu, who has been in fine form this season came back from an offside position to flick in the winner, but the goal has left a sour taste in the mouths of Madrid players and the Madrid based press.

Marca run with the headline : Girona beat Madrid with offside goal, whilst they also mention the gap between Zinedine Zidane’s side and league leaders Barcelona.

Spanish daily AS also run with the shock scoreline, praising Isco, who arguably has been Madrid’s best player this season.

They also mention Atletico’s run of five draws in six games, picking up on comments made by midfielder Saul.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo laud Girona’s fantastic victory, whilst they also offer praise for Marc Andre ter-Stegen, who was excellent against Athletic Club on Saturday evening.
