Villarreal have announced today that their Turkish striker Enes Unal will be joining Levante on loan.
The move comes due Ivan Lopez being ruled out for the rest of the season after requiring surgery on his injured left knee. This will free up a registration spot on Levante’s roster allowing them to make their move for Unal.
Unal, 20, only joined Villarreal in the summer for fourteen million euros but has found his chances in the team limited due to the form of Cedric Bakambu and Carlos Bacca.
Talks are said to be at a very advanced stage which will keep him at the club until the first of January 2018. This can be extended until the end of the season although it is unlikely Levante will do so. It is believed that no clause has been arranged in the agreement for the deal to be made permanent.
This could prove to be an excellent deal for the two clubs concerned. Villarreal will have a quality player not wasting away whilst waiting for a chance in the starting eleven.
Levante will be allowing the young and exciting player some much needed game time and getting used to the pace and style of the Spanish game.
