Manchester United have reportedly told Valencia that they want Andreas Pereira to return from loan in January.
The Brazilian moved to La Liga late in August, despite Jose Mourinho’s objections of the move and reports of an early return have since been rife, both in Spanish and English media.
Having featured four times for Los Che so far this season, Plaza Deportiva have leaned on that and claimed United have informed Valencia of their plans to bring him back to Old Trafford.
Prior to joining Valencia, Pereira spent time on loan with Granada in La Liga last term, failing to help them beat relegation.
Having been signed by United in 2011 from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, Pereira made just five appearances for the English club, whilst representing both Brazil and Belgium at youth levels.
Valencia have been in superb form this season domestically and sit second behind Barcelona in the La Liga standings.
A 2-1 victory over Alaves ensured they remained their for another round of fixtures, thanks to goals from Simone Zaza and Rodrigo.
Italian international Zaza lashed home in the ninth minute to score a goal which was his ninth in the league, whilst Spanish international Rodrigo smashed home the winner from the penalty spot in the second half.
Central defender Alexis scored for the home side, who are now sat in 19th place – four points from safety, just above Malaga.
Valencia have now won seven out of ten and remain one of three unbeaten sides in La Liga, including Barca and Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.
