Good Morning and welcome to our round up of the Spanish Papers, which look closely at the injury problems of Santi Cazorla and focus on Real Madrid’s failings this week.
Spanish daily Marca look at Arsenal’s Cazorla, who has not played for two years now following an injury problem with his foot.
The Spanish international has had eight operations on his foot and an infection which threatened to see his career come to an end.
Cazorla is currently living in Salamanca, but remains focusing on returning to full fitness – having lost 8cm of his tendon and gangrine in his foot.
AS focus on Cristiano Ronaldo, who has reportedly blamed the exits of Alvaro Morata, James Rodriguez and Pepe for Real Madrid’s downfall this season. The paper also cites comments made by the Portuguese international on a new contract, saying he does not want to renew with the club.
It further picks up on the fact that Spurs ran 11.3km more than Madrid in Wednesday’s Champions League game.
Mundo Deportivo also looks at Ronaldo and his unhappiness, before speaking on Lionel Messi’s 600th game against Sevilla this weekend.
Finally, it claims Madrid are considering rivalling Barca for Liverpool play maker Philippe Coutinho in the January transfer window.
