Real Madrid will hope to get back on the winning trail once more as they host Las Palmas on the back of two consecutive defeats at the hands of Girona and Tottenham Hotspur.
Last Sunday’s defeat at the Estadio Montilivi saw Real slip a massive eight points behind leaders Barcelona with wins for Valencia and Atletico Madrid on Saturday seeing them also overtake the Bernabeu side.
They had hoped to bounce back in the Champions League on Wednesday but suffered a heavy defeat against Spurs at Wembley.
However they are massive favourites to overcome Las Palmas who sit in 19th place after a home defeat to Deportivo last Monday night.
Reports of a fight between Loic Remy and Oussama Tannane in training hasn’t helped ease any fears fans may have but the club has vowed to stick with under fire boss Pako Ayestaran.
Gareth Bale has returned to training this week for Real Madrid after a month on the sidelines and is expected to make his return to the matchday squad. Keylor Navas, Mateo Kovacic and Dani Carvajal are all set to miss out too but Raphael Varane should return after injury.
Las Palmas will need to cope without influential playmaker Jonathan Viera following the injury he picked up versus Depor. Tana, Aythami Artiles, Oussama Tannane and Alen Halilovic are all not in the squad either.
