Liverpool have reignited their interest in Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas, sparking further rumours that David De Gea could move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been keen to improve his number one spot at Anfield, having switched between Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, who have both had inconsistent form in the Premier League.
Having shown tentative interest in Navas over the summer, it is understood and reported in Diario Gol that a move could be made next summer for the Costa Rican shot stopper.
What that does mean is Real Madrid could look to move for De Gea, who has been a long term target.
The Spaniard currently plays for Man United and is ever impressing, whilst he is now the first choice Spanish national keeper, having taken the reign off Iker Casillas.
Casillas, who now plays for Porto in the Portuguese league has never truly been replaced at Madrid and officials at the club believe De Gea is the perfect choice.
Having played for rivals and city neighbours Atletico, prior to his move to Old Trafford – it is understood he is keen to move back to the Spanish capital.
Navas, who has helped Madrid to two Champions League titles remains happy at the Bernabeu, but a move to Liverpool could be tempting.
