A report in Spanish press claims Cristiano Ronaldo was left angry with Real Madrid team-mate Isco after he failed to thank him for his assist on Sunday against Las Palmas.
Arguably, Spanish play-maker Isco has been Madrid’s best player this season, picking up the form that made him a starter in Zinedine Zidane’s Champions League final winning side last season.
Madrid have struggled this season and sit eight points behind league leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona.
Critique has come the way of a number of high profile players, including Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale; and surprisingly for the first time in his Bernabeu career – Ronaldo.
Having scored just one La Liga goal this season, question marks have arose over his future at the club; whilst his anger is beginning to show both on the field and off it, recently rejecting the talk of a new and improved contract.
Whilst Ronaldo failed to score against Las Palmas on Sunday – he did assist Isco in scoring his side’s third goal.
But, that moment of play has been dampened by claims in Onda Cero that the Portuguese forward is ‘angry’ with the former Malaga man for not thanking him after netting the goal.
Meanwhile, Speaking to Radio MARCA’s El Transistor programme this week, journalist Jose Ramon de la Morena revealed the news that Ronaldo has placed a bet with team-mates that he will finish above Lionel Messi in the league’s leading scorer charts.
