Spanish Papers: Real Madrid focused on KepaNovember 9, 2017
Good Morning and welcome to our round-up of the Spanish Papers which see Marca and AS focusing on Real Madrid’s interest in Athletic Club keeper Kepa.
The young Basque keeper has been in brilliant form over the last two season, impressing as much to get in the Spanish national side, playing a back-up behind Manchester United’s David De Gea.
De Gea, who has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu now seems to have dropped behind the young stopper as Madrid look to pay his buy-out clause of £20m; a fee which will not be changed until a new deal is agreed.
Moving over to Catalonia and Mundo Deportivo have a feature that shows Lionel Messi’s form compared to that of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Isco and Marco Asensio – who have scored the same amount combined as the Argentine forward.
The Barcelona daily also links Man United’s Juan Mata with a move to Madrid, whilst discussing the wish of Messi to retire with boy-hood club Newell’s Old Boys.
Whilst, they also claim Gerard Moreno is set to agree a new deal with Espanyol that will keep him at the club until 2022.
