La Liga 1|2|3 Review: Huesca end weekend top of SegundaNovember 14, 2017
Huesca ended the weekend at the top of the Segunda after beating Barcelona B 2-0 thanks to a double from Cucho Hernandez.
On the road to Barcelona, Huesca had on-loan Watford striker Hernandez to thank for an impressive brace that saw them move one point ahead of the chasing pack in Segunda.
Second placed Osasuna took advantage of others poor results as Xisco netted in a 1-0 win over Cordoba, meaning they moved second place in the standings.
Sporting Gijon, Lugo and Granada all suffered setbacks with the latter suffering a shock defeat at home to Sevilla Atletico.
Goals from Curro and Fede cancelled out Joselu’s strike for the hosts as they gave their survival chances a glimmer of hope, sitting second from bottom.
Sporting were held by Valladolid as Scepovic and Luismi scored for their respective sides, whilst Lugo were beaten by Numancia, who moved up to third.
Elsewhere, Oviedo beat Catalan side Nastic thanks to a penalty from Aaron, which won the game.
The game of the day came as Real Zaragoza beat Rayo Vallecano 3-2, whilst Cadiz beat Reus 1-0.
Saturday saw 2-0 wins for Albacete and Tenerife over Almeria and Cultural Leonesa, respectively.
Alcorcon and Lorca drew 1-1 to complete round 14’s weekend of fixtures.
