Ronaldo to leave Real Madrid on June 30, 2018

Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid next summer, according to various reports.

A summer of discontent for Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu was quite surprising with numerous reports claiming the former Manchester United forward wanted to return to Old Trafford.

Talk of a unhappy Ronaldo surfaced with reports saying he had felt hurt and let down by the Spanish club after court proceedings began against him over unpaid taxes.

Rumours swept across Spain and England, but in truth they were silenced by Neymar’s sensational move from Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain.

Now, months past the summer break and with the season in full flow – those reports seem to be surfacing once more.

Ronaldo, who has scored just one La Liga goal, wants to leave the club, following those problems and Madrid’s rumoured links with new players, such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint Germain.

Diario AS report the claims and have linked Man United with a move, whilst claiming a move to the MLS is also a possibility.

Madrid’s form this season has been less than inspiring with Zinedine Zidane’s falling eight points behind league leaders Barcelona as things stand.

Ronaldo, who has been the main protagonist at the club over recent seasons now finds himself amongst a wealth of young talent, with both Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio improving on a weekly basis.

Whilst a new deal remains likely; expect English and Spanish media keep pushing the story.
