Morning and welcome to our round-up of the Spanish papers, which feature Lionel Messi’s contract for life negotiations with Barcelona.
Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo have opened up Thursday’s daily with the news that Messi and his father, who is in Barca until November 24th are in negotiations over a lifetime deal which will see the Argentine remain at the club for the foreseeable future.
Negotiations have been long and a deal up until 2021 is said to have been agreed but both parties are seemingly happy to agree a further extension to the deal.
Over in Madrid, Marca have reported on the weekend’s derby match between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, revelling in the fact that the game was sold out with one week to go.
Whilst they also pick up on the relationship between Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo, which is now said to be at breaking point.
AS discuss numerous things, including the official news that the VAR system will be used in the 2018/2019 season.
They also discuss Dani Ceballos, who is expected to start the Madrid derby this coming weekend at the Wanda Metropolitano.
