Manchester United received a total of £17.3m for Adnan Zanuzaj from Basque side Real Sociedad, figures have revealed.
The 22-year-old Belgian international left Old Trafford in July to sign for Sociedad in a claimed £8.5m deal, but the true figure of his move has now been announced.
Various sell on fees and bonuses mean United have pocketed £17.3m from the La Liga side, who has scored one goal in all competitions this season.
Januzaj burst on to the scene in 2013 when David Moyes arrived at the English club, scoring two goals in an impressive performances against Sunderland on October 5.
However, despite signing a five-year deal – his playing time became less, falling out of favour due to the arrival of Louis van Gaal.
Having spent time on loan with German club Borussia Dortmund in the 2015/2016 season, the youngster also spent time with Sunderland, linking up with Moyes once more.
Despite featuring 28 times for the Black Cats; Januzaj suffered relegation and returned to United, now under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
United, who released their first quarter financial figures on Thursday morning, show the figure, along with a profit of £141m.
Januzaj and Sociedad will prepare for the upcoming weekend clash with Girona on Friday evening.
