Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will find himself without the injured Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and Mateo Kovacic for the Champions League tie with APOEL.
A 0-0 draw with rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening not only left with Madrid with a sour taste, but more injuries after captain Ramos was left with a broken nose following a challenge from Lucas Hernandez.
Madrid now prepare for the weekend clash with Malaga hoping to bounce back, after they meet APOEL in the Champions League in midweek where victory would see them through the knock-out stages of the competition.
Ramos will be back for the tie with Malaga, but will miss out against the Cypriot side, along with long term absentees Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic.
Keeper Keylor Navas has failed to recover in time for the tie and will be replaced by second choice keeper Kiko Casilla.
Madrid beat APOEL 3-0 at the Bernabeu in their previous group meeting, which saw Cristiano Ronaldo score twice and Ramos net once.
