Spanish Papers: Robinho sentenced to nine years for rapeNovember 24, 2017
Good Morning and welcome to our brief round up of Friday’s Spanish Papers, which focus on Robinho, who has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
Former Real Madrid and Brazil international Robinho has been hit with a nine-year sentence following an incident in 2013, which it is claimed the 33-year-old and five other Brazilians assaulted an Albanian women.
Robinho left AC Milan in 2015, where the incident happened and pleaded not guilty via his lawyer.
The sentence has been put on hold until an appeal process is completed.
Madrid based daily’s Marca and AS have both discussed the news but refused to show the former Real Madrid man in the club’s colours.
AS look at Gareth Bale’s return; before focusing on the Europa League action on Thursday evening, where all Spanish clubs won.
Finally, Mundo Deportivo heap more praise on Barcelona stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, before discussing the potential double signing of German internationals Mesut Ozil and Leon Goretzka.
It follows up with a discussion on Philippe Coutinho; and claims that a deal with Liverpool is 50/50.
The daily ends with Neymar’s dismissal of interest in Real Madrid, picking up on his ‘f*ck sake’ comment to press over a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
