Eibar look to move away from drop zone as they face AlavesNovember 24, 2017
Eibar will look to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three when they travel to face Basque neighbours Alaves at the Mendizorroza on Saturday lunchtime.
Los Armeros go into this game on the back of a thumping 5-0 win over Quique Setien’s Real Betis at the Ipurua on Monday night. That result moved Eibar four points of 17th placed Malaga and five ahead of opponents Alaves and Las Palmas.
If they want to extend that gap they will have to do something they haven’t done since the beginning of April and win more than one game in a row.
Alaves on the other hand will be looking to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Getafe last Saturday.
Gianni De Biasi’s men have won just three games in all competitions this season, including only one at home but will see this game as a great opportunity to edge ever closer to escaping the relegation zone as Eibar themselves have also only won three games.
Hector Hernandez will miss out for Alaves and although Victor Laguardia has returned to training this week it is expected that this game will come too early for him. Mubarak Wakaso, Manu Garcia and Rodrigo Ely are all a booking away from missing their next league match away at Girona.
Eibar don’t have any new injury worries but remain without long term absentees Pedro Leon, Yoel Rodriguez, Fran Rico and Ivan Ramias.
