Deportivo training ends with duo brawling

Deportivo duo Florin Andone and Alejandro Arribas were involved in a brawl during the club’s training session on Monday morning.

Reports surfaced over Monday lunch-time that the duo had been involved in a fight that called a halt on the session.

Further to the reports, it is understood that coach Cristobal Parralo took the decision to call time on the session with the striker and defender being seperated.

The incident comes after a relatively good 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday which moved them one place above the relegation zone.

Sunday’s game at the Riazor started with an opener from Markel Susaeta, before Adrian Lopez found a leveller for the home side.

Inaki Williams’ strike on the hour mark looked to have given the Basque side all three points but former Basel defender Fabian Schar scored to ensure the points were shared.

The point for Depor comes after two defeats to Atletico Madrid and Malaga; meaning they will now be looking for all three points when they meet Sevilla on Saturday evening.

Before that, the Galician side will travel to face Las Palmas in the Copa del Rey but they must overcome a 4-1 first leg deficit to progress to the next round.
