Neymar Snr. has discussed the growing claims linking his son, Neymar Jnr. to a move from Paris Saint Germain to Real Madrid.
Cast your mind back to the summer and those sensational talks of Neymar leaving Barcelona for Paris Saint Germain began and materialised.
The Brazil international was seemingly happy with life in the Catalan capital but a mega-money move and the chance to lead the line and move away from the ‘shadow’ of Lionel Messi was too appealing.
However, reports in French and Spanish press have since claimed that life is not all too good for the forward in Paris, claiming fall-outs with Edinson Cavani and coach Unai Emery have seen him miss La Liga.
A visit back to Catalonia last month saw him pictured with Messi and the Barca team, but a move back to the Camp Nou is extremely unlikely – given the nature he left, which included a training ground dust up with new signing Nelson Semedo.
That has opened up another possibility with reports coming in from Spain that Real Madrid are considering a move and the likes of Dani Carvajal, Casemiro and Sergio Ramos have all discussed a potential move.
Neymar’s father has now been quizzed on the reports and said that his son could move to the club in ‘five or six years’.
“So many things can change very quickly, you can never be certain of anything,” he told Fox News in Brazil, as quoted by Marca.
“Right now, we are not considering the possibility of leaving PSG so when I react to this question it is regarding something which is not possible.
“This may happen in five or six years but I cannot talk about it now, who knows what the future holds.
“He has just arrived in PSG, he has a long contract and people are already discussing him leaving, so it is difficult to answer.”
Florentino Perez has seen his bigger stars at the Santiago Bernabeu fail this season and question marks have begun over the future of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and even, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports in Spain and France claim Neymar’s father has met with Perez to discuss various things, in particular the role and potential of a move for his son.
Whilst Neymar is fully committed to PSG this season – many feel he was similarly committed to Barcelona, given his relationship with Leo Messi and Luis Suarez.
