Athletic Bilbao travel to Valencia to face Levante at the Estadi Ciutat De Valencia.
Despite Los Leones winning their last two Europa League encounters against Zorya and Hertha Berlin, they have failed to win a La Liga match since the 14th October, after beating Sevilla 1-0.
Los Granotes are La Liga newcomers, following their title success in La Liga Segunda Division last season. They are currently sat in 14th, two positions above Bilbao who will be extremely disappointed with their start to their campaign.
Iker Muniain is still a long-term absentee with a cruciate ligament injury and Benat, De Marcos, Yeray Alvarez and Anders Iturraspe remain doubtful.
For Levante, Alegria, Doukoure, Lopez, Lukic and Roger are highly unlikely to feature.
Although Bilbao have been on a torrid La Liga run, they are undefeated against Levante in their last six encounters in all competitions.
Goals have not been in short supply when this fixture comes around, Bilbao have scored at least two goals in their last six encounters against Levante in all competitions and Levante have seen over 3 goals in six of their last seven home matches against Bilbao in all competitions.
If Bilbao are to get anything from this game, veteran striker Aritz Aduriz will need to be in form and will need to avoid being isolated, as we’ve seen quite often with Bilbao. The 36 year-old Spaniard has scored five goals this season.
Levante will see this game as an opportunity to exploit any tiredness in Bilbao’s squad after they traveled to Ukraine for their mid-week Europa League encounter, therefore this game will be a strong possibility for them to move up the table.
