Eibar travel to Madrid on Saturday lunchtime to take on a Getafe side in a buoyant mood after their 1-0 success over Valencia last week.
The hosts climbed up into the top half of La Liga last weekend after that victory against a previously unbeaten Valencia side at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday.
Eibar themselves are on a good run having won their last three league games on the bounce against Real Betis, Alaves and Espanyol that have seen them move to within just one point of the top half.
Indeed the middle of the league is very tight with just three points separating Getafe in eighth and 15th placed Espanyol with any points welcome to all of the sides.
These two last met in the 2015/16 season when it finished 1-1 in Madrid but Eibar won the reverse fixture by three goals to one.
Getafe were relegated that season but bounced back up at the first time of asking to regain their place in La Liga.
Getafe’s brilliant win over Los Che last weekend came at a cost with midfielder Mauro Arambarri picking up two yellow cards in the first half meaning that he will be suspended for Eibar’s visit. He will join long term absentees Gaku Shibasaki and Chuli on the sidelines for the game but Jose Bordalas has no new injury worries to contend with.
Eibar on the other hand do have new problems with David Junca out for the next two games with a muscle problem while Charles will sit out his second game in a row after his red card at Alaves.
Goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez is expected to return from injury at the end of the month but will again miss out along with Pedro Leon, Fran Rico, Asier Riesgo and Christian Rivera.
Fabian Orellana has joined the club on loan from Valencia with the option to buy him at the end of the season but he is unable to play until January.
