Eibar will be aiming to make it five games unbeaten in La Liga when they welcome high flying Valencia to Gipuzkoa on Saturday evening.
Los Armeros haven’t lost a game in the league since a 3-1 defeat at Basque rivals Real Sociedad on the fifth of November and now find themselves in 13th place, just one point off the top half.
It’s been an amazing turnaround for the Basques with 13 points from the last 15 having picked up just five in their opening 11 games.
Opponents Valencia have made a wonderful start to the season losing just once, away at Getafe, and currently sit second in the table behind Barcelona.
Much of that form has been down to the forward pairing of Simone Zaza and Rodrigo with the duo having scored 18 of the club’s 35 La Liga goals this term.
However, the visitors will be without Italian Zaza after he accumulated too many yellow cards with his booking in last week’s win over Celta Vigo his fifth of the campaign.
They will also be forced into changes elsewhere on the pitch with injuries ruling out Ezequiel Garay and Jeison Murillo in the centre of defence as well as midfielder Carlos Soler.
They will be boosted by the return of Portuguese wideman Goncalo Guedes who returns from injury but is expected to only be named on the bench.
Eibar have no new injury worries ahead of the game.
Kick off at the Ipurua on Saturday is at 5:30pm UK time.
