Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has talked up the form of Mohamed Salah, who has now scored 20 goals this season for English side Liverpool.
After holding talks this week regarding January transfers, Zidane seems to have focussed his intentions on Mohammed Salah.
Struggling to gain any real form in la Liga, it seems Madrid are lacking real fire power in front of goal this season.
Five time Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have failed to reach the highs of seasons previous in goals and Gareth Bale has spent most of this half of the season injured.
Liverpool ace Salah is top goal scorer in the premier league with 14 goals and three assists, whilst he has 20 goals in all competitions and is now one of the hottest properties in European football.
And, Zidane has been drawn on the possible links to the Egyptian forward.
“Salah is a great player for sure, he has demonstrated this at Roma and now at Liverpool,” Zidane told reporters, as quoted by Marca.
“He is still relatively young and you can see he is improving and I don’t talk much about players not at this club, but he is someone who I rate a lot.”
Having had a blistering season in Switzerland with Basel, Salah moved to Chelsea in 2014 but failed to impress during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The tricky winger would then move to Serie A with Roma, where he scored 35 goals in 81 games for the Italian side, before making a move to Anfield.
Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp will be keen to hold on their top performer and will need to use some of the resolve that saw them keep Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho from the hands of Barcelona over the summer.
