Real Madrid have been voting in their numbers on who they would like to see at the club and have chosen Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Cast yourself back to the summer of 2017 and it was all delight for Zinedine Zidane at Madrid but a poor start to the La Liga season has seen them slip to fourth in the league, behind Atletico Madrid and Valencia and a massive 14 points behind Barcelona.
The 3-0 El Clasico defeat before the winter break has now heaped pressure on Zidane and Madrid to improve and that has led to a number of potential players being sold and being brought in.
Spurs striker Kane has been top of that list for sometime, joining the likes Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar and Chelsea play-maker Eden Hazard.
And, following a vote in Marca, it now seems that the fans of Madrid have spoken, giving their backing on a move for Kane.
85% of voters agreed that Madrid need a shake up in the January transfer window, via Marca, deciding on a number of options that could be signed.
Hazard, who has been linked in the last few days, was fifth on the list of potential arrivals, ahead of Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala.
Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski came fourth, behind PSG duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, leaving Kane as the favourite.
A whopping 34% of Spanish respondents to the online poll chose the England striker, whilst 29% of English readers also opted for 2017’s top goalscorer in Europe.
