Spanish Papers: Coutinho, Coutinho, Coutinho & CoutinhoJanuary 3, 2018
Good Morning and welcome to Wednesday 3rd of January’s Spanish Paper review, which as you have guessed – is largely dominated by Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
Yep, Mundo Deportivo and Sport are largely focusing on Barcelona’s move for the Brazilian play-maker, with negotiations taking place in London currently.
Further reports claim that the former Espanyol man has found a new home next to former Liverpool team-mate Luis Suarez and that he will replace Arda Turan in the number seven shirt at the Camp Nou.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been told by Coutinho that he does not want to feature for the club again, according to Sport and various other media outlets – prompting speculation that a move could be announced as early as the weekend.
Mundo Deportivo move away from the negotiation side of things and have already started talking about his role in the starting eleven, saying he can play in four different positions if needed, whilst they discuss the return of Ousmane Dembele from injury.
Moving away from Coutinho and Barcelona;
Marca look at Diego Costa’s return to Atletico Madrid, before claiming a mystery Chinese club have offered £35m for Villarreal striker Cedric Bakambu.
The striker has been in red hot form this season, but it would be hard to see Villarreal resist that amount of money.
