Tottenham Hotspur have been offered Gareth Bale as one of three players to swap for England striker Harry Kane.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly keen to shuffle his squad after seeing them falter in the league this season, sitting 14 points behind league leaders Barcelona.
Kane, who has been long linked to Madrid, finished 2017 with the most goals in the top European leagues and has been attracting both Zidane and club president Florentino Perez.
The interest is also backed by club fans, who voted in numbers for Spanish daily Marca last week on the signing of Kane.
And, further reports now in English media, mainly the Mirror, claim that a summer deal could be developing.
The reports claim that Perez has told Spurs they can have former winger Gareth Bale in return for the England international, whilst Modric and Karim Benzema have also been mentioned.
Bale, has struggled with injury problems at the Santiago Bernabeu, coming off the bench in the 3-0 defeat to Barca before the winter break but to no affect.
With no doubt, Spurs would be welcoming in the fact of Bale’s potential return, but whether or not they chose to depart with Kane is another story.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino has worked hard to keep his current crop of talent at the club, and will hoping chairman Daniel Levy rebuffs any interest from the Spanish capital.
