Alaves have completed the loan signing of Celta Vigo striker John Guidetti, it has been confirmed by both clubs.
The Swedish striker has found playing time hard to come by this season at the Galician side, having not started a single La Liga game.
The good form of new signing Maxi Gomez and that of, former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas, has been the major factor in restricting the former Manchester City man to the bench.
Having been linked with a January exit, Guidetti was originally set to stay at the Balaidos following interest from the Chinese Super League in Gomez.
However, a move broke down and Celta bosses have now confirmed that the Sweden international has left the club on a six month loan move, which is said to include the option to make it permanent.
Guidetti, 25, joined Celta in 2015 after spells with no less than six clubs, including Man City, Stoke City and Scottish side Celtic.
The striker has a deal until 2020 with the club, which also features a £20m release clause which could be activated this summer.
His move to Alaves, will act as a great boost to the club, who have relied heavily on the likes of Munir El Haddadi and Bojan Krkic for goals this season.
