Real Betis full-back Riza Durmisi is set to join Liverpool after reaching an agreement to join in the summer.
The 24-year old has excelled at Los Verdiblancos since joining from Brondby in 2016, with Jurgen Klopp a keen admirer. The left-back made 47 appearances for the Sevilla-based club last season including two goals.
Durmisi currently has a £17 million buy-out clause and Klopp is set to re-invest using the £142 million collected from the sale of Phillipe Coutinho.
The Denmark international is contracted until 2021, and caught the radar of Liverpool after an impressive performance against the British side during a 2014 friendly. He is also able to perform in a more advanced role in midfield, and is both defensively proficient and strong in his delivery from out wide.
Despite insisting he is not concerned about the position, Alberto Moreno is currently injured, new signing Andrew Robertson and the very versatile James Milner are all at Klopp’s disposal but according to reports in Spain, the Danish left-back is set to replace former Betis player Moreno at Anfield after Klopp signalled his intentions to move him onto pastures new. Along with the recent acquisition of Andrew Robertson, Klopp is set to address his options at left-back and is seems Durmisi is his top transfer target.
