Real Betis are hoping to complete two deals, for midfielder Ruben Rochina and left back Patrice Evra, in the coming days.
Ex Granada playmaker Rochina is currently plying his trade in Russia with Rubin Kazan but the Russian Premier League side have reportedly not paid the player in at least three months due to an ongoing financial crisis at the club, alerting Betis.
Rochina was signed for Kazan in 2016 by La Liga favourite Javi Gracia, joining for 10 million euros from now Segunda side Granada.
Los Verdiblancos tried to sign him last summer but failed however they are confident of a deal on the cheap with the move now becoming increasingly likely.
Patrice Evra has also been linked with a move to the Benito Villamarin with the France international now a free agent after leaving Marseille towards the end of 2017.
The left back was banned from European games until the 30th of June this year after he assaulted a fan who had insulted him prior to the Ligue 1 side’s UEFA Europa League clash with Vitoria Guimaraes.
Reports in France claim that Betis have ‘sounded out’ a move for the former Manchester United defender but it waits to be seen whether the Seville side will be able to afford his wages.
