Las Palmas are rumoured to be interested in a move for out of favour Real Sociedad midfielder Ruben Pardo in the January transfer window.
Local journalist in San Sebastian, Alfredo Del Castillo, spoke to Gran Canaria based radio station Todo Goles Radio and said that the midfielder is of interest to new Las Palmas boss Paco Jemez with the move a distinct possibility.
Pardo isn’t in the plans of current La Real boss Eusebio Sacristan and hasn’t featured for the Basques since their Copa del Rey defeat to third tier Lleida Esportiu on the 29th of November as well as playing just twice in La Liga this season.
He spent the last few months of last season on loan at Real Betis but Las Palmas seem to be the only side in the running for his signature this time.
The player is believed to have spoken with Sacristan and it was confirmed that the player wouldn’t be offered a new contract at the Anoeta unless there was a serious injury picked up by a teammate.
Pardo has been a member of the first team squad since 2012 after making his way up through the ranks and has made 180 appearance’s for La Real scoring six times.
