Valencia have made a last ditch attempt to sign Theo Walcott, who now looks set to leave Arsenal this month.
After the signing of both Gabriel Paulista and Francis Coquelin from Arsenal, it seems Los Che are also interested in the signing of England international Walcott.
The former Southampton winger is desperate to leave The Gunners in the January window after gaining very little playing time this season under Arsene Wenger, despite the Frenchman’s desire to keep him at the Emirates stadium.
Whilst it is understood that officials from the Spanish club did make contact earlier this week; it is further understood that they were rebuffed as Everton now look set to seal the deal.
Toffees boss Sam Allardyce says the club are close to a deal with Arsenal for the two-time FA Cup winner.
Walcott joined Arsenal for £5m from Southampton in 2006 and has since scored 108 goals for the club, with his most impressive season coming back in 2013, when he scored 21 times in 43 games.
His exit from Arsenal could also be followed by Alexis Sanchez, who is in talks with both Manchester United and Manchester City over a potential switch.
The Chilean international would therefore, work with Pep Guardiola once more, following on from their time at Barcelona together.
