Leganes have appointed former Alaves boss Mauricio Pellegrino as their new manager, replacing Asier Garitano who moved to Real Sociedad at the end of the season. Athletic Club tie Vesga down to new deal

Mikel Vesga has agreed a new and improved contract with Athletic Club, the club have confirmed. The 24-year-old has established himself as a first team player this season, making 12 starts for Jose Angel Zidanda and it is now confirmed that he has agreed a deal to extend by a further two years until June 2012.
