The Real Madrid boss was “disappointed” with Zinedine Zidane while James Rodriguez shone at Everton

The Real Madrid staff were reportedly “upset” by James Rodriguez’s sensational start to his Everton career.

Rodriguez, 29, left Real to join Tofi for free after being seen as an advantage over Zinedine Zidane’s demands at the Bernabeu.

The Colombian picked up a flyer led by Carlo Ancelotti on Merseyside and scored three goals and four assists in his first six games.

And according to Spanish Outlet AS, his flying life in the Premier League was a huge disappointment for the Real boss.

They are believed to show their “disappointment” towards Zidane and his management team regarding their attitude towards the player.

Together with Rodriguez, Zidane allowed Gareth Bale, Sergio Reguilon and Danny Chebalos to leave the club through the summer window, but Los Blancos officials believe they can all be “very useful” members of his team.

Everton, on the other hand, took 13 points from their first five games of the new season when Rodriguez held the rope in Ancelotti’s midfield.

He was fit again in the Toffees’ 2-2 draw against rivals Liverpool from Merseyside on Saturday, preparing Michael Keane for the first game after Sadio Mane opened the table.
